What's new for 2027 at Audi
If you last shopped Audi two or more years ago, a lot has changed. Here are the new models, the new generations, and the names that are gone. Updated November 2026.
All-new models
- Audi Q9 and SQ9. Audi’s first full-size SUV, with three rows and seating for up to seven. See how to get one of the first ones.
- Third-generation Q7 and SQ7. A full redesign with a new cabin. The Q7 has a 429-horsepower V6 and the SQ7 has a 591-horsepower V8. Read Q7 vs. Q9.
Where did the A4 go?
The A5 replaces it. In the US, the A5 is a Sportback: a sedan shape with a lift-up rear hatch, so you get more cargo room than the old A4 trunk.
Why there’s no 2026 Q6 e-tron or A6 e-tron
Audi skipped the 2026 model year in the US for these two electric models. The 2027 Q6 e-tron and A6 Sportback e-tron are on sale now.
Simpler packaging on the A5 and A6
Instead of three trim levels, the A5 and A6 now come in one well-equipped trim. You add packages, such as Driver Assistance, Executive or Vorsprung, to get the features you want.
Models no longer sold new
The A4 and S4, A7 and S7, Q8 e-tron, R8 and TT are no longer built for the US. We still sell them pre-owned and service them in our shop. Browse pre-owned inventory or schedule service.

Buy a 2026 or a 2027?
Both model years are on sale right now. Here’s how to choose.
- Choose a 2027 if you want the newest design. The Q7 is fully redesigned for 2027, and the Q9 is all-new.
- Choose a 2026 if the model didn’t change much and you can find one with the equipment you want. Ask about current offers.
- Compare like for like. Check the window stickers side by side so you know exactly what changed.
