Your Audi lease is ending. Here’s what to do.
You have three choices: turn it in for a new Audi, buy it, or ask to extend. Start a few months early and you’ll have the most options. Updated November 2026.
Your three options
The free pre-return inspection
Audi Financial Services offers a free inspection before you turn in your car, and an inspector can come to you. The report is good for 90 days if no new damage happens. It shows any wear you might be charged for, so you can decide whether to fix it first.
Before you turn it in
- Clean the car and remove personal items.
- Bring every key, the owner’s manuals, headrests and cargo covers.
- Check your mileage against your contract.
- If you fix damage after the inspection, keep the receipt.
Thinking about what’s next? Read lease or buy or what’s new for 2027.
Five numbers to find in your lease contract
Pull out your lease contract before you decide anything. These five numbers drive every option.
- Maturity date: the day your lease ends.
- Mileage allowance: the total miles your lease includes.
- Excess mileage charge: what you pay per mile over the allowance.
- Purchase option price: what it costs to buy the car at lease end.
- Turn-in (disposition) fee: charged in some cases if you don’t lease or buy another Audi.
Can’t find them? Bring the contract in or log in to your Audi Financial Services account, and we’ll go through it with you.
