Charging an Audi e-tron® around Pittsburgh
Most Audi e-tron® owners do almost all of their charging at home. For road trips and busy days, the Pittsburgh area has public DC fast chargers along the major highways, and eligible Audi models can now use Tesla Superchargers too. Here's how it all fits together.
Level 1, Level 2 and DC fast charging
Level 1 uses a standard household outlet and is very slow, best as a backup. Level 2 uses a 240-volt circuit, like a dryer outlet, and is what most owners install at home to charge overnight. DC fast charging at public stations is the quickest option, and it's what you'll use on road trips.
Public fast charging near Pittsburgh
Networks like Electrify America, EVgo and ChargePoint have fast chargers around the region and along I-79, I-376 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Your Audi's built-in navigation and the myAudi app show nearby chargers and can route you to them. Station locations change, so check the app before a long trip.
Tesla Supercharger access
Since September 2025, the e-tron® GT, Q6 e-tron® and A6 e-tron® can charge at Tesla Superchargers in North America with a NACS adapter. The Q4 e-tron® is not included. Ask our team which adapter your vehicle needs and how to set up access.
Charging at home
A Level 2 charger at home is the easiest way to own an Audi e-tron®. A licensed electrician can tell you whether your panel has room for a 240-volt circuit and quote the installation. Check with your electric utility about any current programs for home chargers.
